What is PagerDuty

How it works?
To notify you about downtime or bug incidents, Testfully integrates with PagerDuty Services. We use PagerDuty’s Events API V2 to file incidents. The below walkthroughs guide you

Requirements
To use the Testfully + PagerDuty integration, you must have an active account with both PagerDuty and Testfully services. Both services offer free plans. To sign up for Testfully, please click here and to join PagerDuty, please click here.
PagerDuty: Add a new service
To add a new service to your PagerDuty account, log in to your PagerDuty dashboard and follow the below steps.
- Click on the Services link
- Click on the Service Directory link
- Click on the New Service button
- Type a Name and description (optional) for your service
- Click on the Next button
- Assign an escalation policy to your service
- Click on the Next button
- Pick your desired alert grouping method
- Click on the Next button
- From the integrations section, select the Events API V2
- Click on the Create Service button
- Copy the Integration Key.
- Head to app.testfully.io to add your new service to your Testfully workspace.
Testfully: Add a PagerDuty Service to your workspace
- Click on the Settings link
- Click on the Integrations link
- Click on the PagerDuty link
- Enter a value for the Service Name
- In the Service Registration Key section, please paste the value of your service’s Integration Key.
- Click on the Save button to add the new service to your Testfully workspace.
Testfully: Add a PagerDuty Service to an API monitoring automation task
- Click on the Collections link
- Select one of the collections with an automation
- Pick one of the available values for Frequency of Alerts
- Find your PagerDuty service in the Receive Alerts Via section and enable it
- Click on the Save button to save changes
Testfully: Remove a PagerDuty service integration
- Click on the Settings link
- Click on the Integrations link
- Click on the PagerDuty link
- Click on the Trash Icon next to the service you want to delete
- Click on the Delete button to confirm deletion
Deleting a service also removes the integration from the monitoring tasks.
