What Is a BDR?

A Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for outbound lead generation—identifying, engaging, and qualifying potential customers before handing them over to the sales team.

At Testfully, the BDR role is focused entirely on outbound prospecting and early-stage qualification through digital channels such as LinkedIn, email, and sales tools. This role does not include cold calling.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to drive outbound pipeline generation for Testfully. You will be responsible for identifying target accounts, initiating conversations with relevant stakeholders, qualifying interest, and booking meetings for the sales team.

You’ll work closely with sales and marketing to execute outbound campaigns and continuously improve messaging, targeting, and conversion.

Key Responsibilities

Outbound Prospecting & Lead Generation

  • Identify and research target accounts and decision-makers based on defined ICPs
  • Build and maintain outbound prospect lists using LinkedIn Sales Navigator and other tools
  • Monitor buying signals and engagement triggers

Outbound Outreach (Primary Responsibility)

  • Execute outbound outreach via LinkedIn messages, email, and other digital channels
  • Personalize outreach based on role, company, industry, and use case
  • Run structured outbound sequences and follow-ups (no phone calls)

Lead Qualification & Handover

  • Qualify outbound leads based on predefined criteria (fit, intent, readiness)
  • Book discovery calls or demos for the sales team
  • Ensure smooth and timely handover of qualified opportunities

CRM & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of outreach and lead status in the CRM
  • Track outbound activity, response rates, and conversion metrics
  • Share regular updates and insights with the sales team

Collaboration & Optimization

  • Work closely with sales and marketing to align on outbound campaigns
  • Provide feedback on messaging, targeting, and objections
  • Continuously test and refine outbound approaches

Requirements

Required

  • 1+ year of experience as a BDR, SDR, or in a similar outbound-focused B2B role
  • Proven experience with outbound prospecting (LinkedIn, email, sales tools)
  • Strong written communication skills in English
  • Comfortable using CRM and prospecting tools
  • Organized, disciplined, and metrics-driven
  • Interest in B2B SaaS and technology products

Nice to Have

  • Experience selling or prospecting into technical or developer-focused teams
  • Familiarity with DevTools, APIs, or SaaS platforms
  • Experience with tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, HubSpot, or Salesforce
